Jackie was a partner in a mid-sized firm of chartered accountants before joining Brown Withey to lead the creative industries of the practice. Jackie focuses on creative and owner managed businesses and specialises in providing strategic planning, board level reporting and business advice to businesses at every stage from start up to exit. She gets under the skin of a business to understand how it operates and identifying where improvements can be made. Adopting a personal approach she builds sustainable relationships with her clients and provides a valuable service that is responsive and centred on her clients’ needs. She works with them to develop strategies for future growth and success
With regard to animators, film/TV makers she typically assists with setting up special purpose vehicles, EIS and SEIS schemes, advising on UK creative tax credits and provides certification assistance with the documentation. At production/post production stages she controls costs by shoot, compares spend to budget and as a film production accountant she has 2 film credits to her name.
Jackie advises and assists with research and development tax claims for digital agencies and game developers
